Apologies to anyone checking this blog regularly over the past 3 months when we've shared nothing. It's been busy.
I had a thought early on in our time of "Home leave" in the US. We left our home in Managua and would be staying at my parents' home most of the time, which was my "home" before. We also stopped briefly by our "home" in Harrisonburg, which isn't "home" right now. Were we leaving for home or leaving a home, or both?
A few quick highlights:
- Rep meetings in Mexico. Lia lost a tooth. Silas learned to swim. Went to the zoo.
- Home leave in the US. Week at the farm Rebekah's dad grew up on in Canton. Visiting friends and family in Harrisonburg. Some time with family relaxing at Spruce lake retreat. Lots of picnic potlucks. Miriam learned to sit up.
- Back in Managua, we started off by getting the kids into the school routine, supporting an MCC evaluation on PMER (planning, monitoring, evaluation, reporting) systems, supporting the regional YAMEN orientation, welcoming new YAMEN/SALTers, etc. Our fridge broke again. Decided to replace it this time. Miriam started crawling. Church baby dedication. Silas turned 5.
